Baseball NotebookBlanton Traded to Phillies Joe Blanton was traded yesterday by the Athletics to the Phillies for three minor leaguers. The Athletics received three prospects in Adrian Cardenas a second baseman in A ball who would have been blocked by Chase Utley, Josh Outman a Double A relief pitcher and Matthew Spencer an outfielder in A ball.
