New Year, Same League, Different Logo
Watching Week 1 of the NFL on Sunday was indeed awesome. Except for the fact that just about every team I saw (aside from the Rams) made me realize more fully how much my Redskins are going to probably suck this year under Zorn. Philly got spectacular plays from their wideouts in beating the Rams. This, despite missing their supposedly "top 2" guys. Meanwhile, the Redskins continue to get mediocrity from Moss, Randle El, and Thrash. As a co-worked so accurately put it: "Our #1 is really a #2. O read
Premiere Spotlight: True Blood & EntourageLook, it’s HBO Sunday! Well not quite, Fox is also previewing their remake of the Japanese gameshow Hole in the Wall tonight at 8PM. Not to WorryFriday, September 5, thing were supposed to settle down. The political conventions were finally over, capped by John McCain’s workmanlike speech – long on character (he has it, he says), and short on the issues. In fact the issues didn’t come up much at all – McCain politely nodded to them as they passed by. His audience didn’t care, and those not at the convention, watching on television, were not impressed. Here, from Steve Benen, is a roundup: Jeffrey Toobin on CNN: “I thought it was the read
