I’m not sure what weight George McGovern has in the Democratic Party but, for what it’s worth, he’s switching sides and is now supporting Barack Obama. McGovern is not a superdelegate but his statement that Obama has won the nomination “by any practical test” is a sentiment I think more and more Democratic leaders will begin to express.
