T-Pain, Keys rock BET Awards; West among winners
LOS ANGELES (AP) — T-Pain transformed the BET Awards into a circus Tuesday with a multi-artist medley that showed the rapper and singer’s wide-ranging influence on urban music. Wearing a spangled top hat, T-Pain - nominated for a leading five BET Awards - shared the stage with fellow nominees Flo Rida, Rick Ross, Ludacris and Big Boi, along with a bevy of big-top freaks, including fire eaters and acrobats. “This industry is my circus,” said T-Pain. “Ride with the ringleader.” Then T-Pain readDr. James Dobson accuses Barack Hussein Obama of "distorting" Bible
You mean that the Teflon Imam who attended the Trinity United Church of Christ and accepts their warped teachings would distort the Bible? Dobson is absolutely correct when he states that the Teflon Imam is "deliberately distorting the traditional understanding of the Bible to fit his own worldview". What else would you expect from someone who equates Dr. Dobson with noted race pimp Al Sharpton? Unlike Dobson, Sharpton has a long sordid history. Does Tawana Brawley, Freddie's Fashion Mart, Amado readHey Little Sister
A friend (Jane*) asked me to take her little sister (Rose*, a recent college graduate) around today. I felt pretty proud. That was quite a vote of confidence. I like it when people entrust me with their little sisters. I need the lyrics of some 1980s pop song about "little sister"? Help me. It all started with a joke. When I heard Rose was coming to town, I offered to take her around in my serial killer van, figuring no one would take my offer seriously. Now Jane has taken me up on it. It readCute as a button
We've been up to new and interesting things around here. We made our first clover necklaces; Jack picked out his own shirt ("just like Daddy's") AND he buttoned it all by himself, correctly, on the first try; we made banana oatmeal cookies and narrowly missed having to walk home a mile in a wicked thunderstorm; and I spent something insane like 6 hours on my hands and knees on the lawn washing and bleaching my new treasure. It was hard, but totally worth it. Speaking of new and interesting, an readDesde Campus Party Colombia

Central Texas loses the 'Highway Twins'
Krusee, Ogden brought Central Texas transportation money Changes in Legislature cut area's influence on road funding. June 23, 2008 Ben Wear Austin American-Statesman Copyright 2008 As recently as 2003, Central Texas held all the transportation levers at the Legislature and was in a very cozy, very lucrative relationship with the Texas Department of Transportation. No more. In that 2003 session, the chairmen of the transportation committees in both chambers of the Legislature represented Wi readDawn Patrol

By Jim Scarantino Outside Sharpsburg, Md., a stretch of soft grass rolls across a ditch to where corn sways in the wind. The ditch is barely wide enough to allow a truck or a horse-drawn wagon along its bottom. This is Bloody Lane at the Antietam National Battlefield. On October 17, 1862, Union forces under General George B. McClellan attacked Robert E. Lee’s Confederate army across miles of these pastures and cornfields. Lee was on his first invasion of the North. Stonewall Jackson had readTuesday 10th June 2008

I visited Gettysburg Battlefield for 3 days last week. What a Beautifully preserved battlefield! It has the look and feel of a beautiful park. The carnage is forgotten, which would really be too much to experience. But we honor the sacrifice in peace and tranquility that this terrible battle gives us. The statuary is magnificent as well. Not to mention the intricate bas relief on numerous monuments. This inspires in contrast to the cloistered art sheltered in museums away from public life that o read
